Q Why did Pre-Registration prices increase?
A This year we have increased the cost of badges for Anime Banzai 2014. This is due in part to increasing costs in producing the best family-friendly, quality convention for all of our attendees. Please understand that Anime Banzai is a not for profit event, and all proceeds from ticket sale go directly toward providing you with the programming and guests that make our convention unique. None of the staff working with and/or at Anime Banzai are paid; we are a volunteer-run organization. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you at Anime Banzai 2014.
   
Q I can't attend Anime Banzai and I've already paid. What are my options?
A

Transfers
You can choose to transfer your registration to another person, you will need to fill out the Transfer From to complete this process. They will need to complete a registration form and send it in with the Transfer Form to complete the transfer. All transfer requests must be received by 11:59 PM MST on Oct 3rd 2014; any requests made after this date will be denied.

Refunds
As of 2013 we no longer issue refunds. All unused registrations will be treated as non profit donations to Utah Anime Promotions, and will be used to help fund future convention years. We are sorry for the inconvenience and urge those who can't attend to transfer their registration to another person. Individuals who dispute PayPal payments in an attempt to get refunds will be banned from all future conventions. Please respect our policies and procedures to avoid a permanent ban.

   
Q Why don't you issue refunds?
A Anime Banzai is a not for profit organization and every penny counts. Every penny we receive is strictly budgeted and most is spent before the convention. Equipment must be rented, venue space must be paid for, badges must be printed, etc. It's a difficult task to manage refunds as it involves multiple committees, payment methods, and advance planning. Almost every convention in the US has a strict no-refund policy, and most do not offer badge transfers. We hope you understand our reasoning and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
   
Q I had technical difficulties with the Dashboard right before the registration deadline. The deadline has now passed and I haven't been able to pre-register. What can I do?
A If you had Dashboard issues and we have an e-mail record of your account activation issue in our systems, we can still get you pre-registered if you contact us no later than 08/15/2014 11:59 PM MST. Please follow the e-mail procedure listed on the bottom of the Dashboard Login page.
   
Q I'm having trouble signing up to pay online.
A Please check the dashboard page for a YouTube tutorial video and help instructions.
   
Q Do we still get Banzai swag in the Pre-Reg bags?
A YES! Everybody who takes advantage of Pre-Reg will get a Banzai-themed reusable shopping bag, lanyard and pen. This swag is included for free in pre-reg bags only.
   
Q If I don't pre-register, can I still get the Banzai themed swag that's in the pre-reg bags?
A Yes, but not for free. It will be available at the Anime Banzai merchandise booth. You can also get last year's themed swag as well, while supplies last.
   
Q Can I pay for more than one person with my Dashboard account?
A As of this writing, this functionality is on our "To Do" list of features we want to add. It's a matter of how much time our website staff has between other assignments to work on it. It's more likely a feature that will be added for the 2014 convention year.

You can download the Multi-Reg form, usable by up to 4 people at a time, for multiple registrations with one payment. Instructions are in the PDF file.
   
Q I'm having trouble with the PDF files.
A Editing PDF files does not work in most browsers, you must right-click, select "Save Target As...", and save the document to your computer. Once you have it downloaded, open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader, or a compatible viewer, to type in the fields.
   
Q I'm having problems with my Dashboard...
A If you are having any problems regarding the Dashboard, please contact the webmaster for help. Before you contact, please check your spam folder for missing notification e-mails or messages.
   
Q I registered in person/by mail, when will I get my notification message?
A When you pay at an event, planning meeting, or by mail, there is a minimum of 2 weeks processing time. If it's been longer than 3 weeks please contact the registration staff - Make sure to include your first & last name, e-mail used for registration, and where/when/how you paid.

• If you did not include an e-mail address on your form we can not send you a confirmation e-mail.

• Please clearly print your e-mail information; if we can't read your contact information we cannot send you a confirmation e-mail. If we have sent you a registration confirmation and you notice errors (spelling of name, etc.), please let us know as soon as possible. Any changes to spelling or typographical errors for your registration information must be submitted by 11:59 PM 3 Oct. 2014. If you have any questions or concerns with legibility of your registration information, we strongly recommend using digital ways to type in information.
