Assistant Website Designer

UAP is seeking a dedicated individual to assist our website team to help maintain, update and develop internet content/websites operated by UAP. Applicants must be able to keep deadlines, update content in a timely manner, attend meetings in SLC and work well with others.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Dreamweaver required, HTML5, CSS & Adobe Photoshop
  • WordPress theme design, site administration and related upkeep.
  • Database creation and management
  • Good spelling & grammar

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Attend Anime Banzai meetings held on Saturdays once a month and starting around June twice a month. Meetings are usually held at the Downtown SLC Library.
  • Update the Anime Banzai website when needed.
  • Attend Department meetings held monthly or when needed to discuss department related material. Meetings will be held in the downtown SLC area.
  • Have a computer (PC or MAC) capable/or already running software required.
  • Be able to work some/all days of the convention October 18-21, 2012 on location at the Davis Conference Center. Hotel room may be provided depending on scope of position.
  • Have a reliable internet connection.

UAP is a Non-Profit origination and all positions are 100% volunteer. We rely on dedicated individuals who love Japanese culture/Anime/Manga to help make Anime Banzai possible. Volunteers do have perks that come with the job.

Assistant Website Programmer

UAP (Utah Anime Promotions) is seeking a dedicated individual to assist our website team in the programming and development of the back-end code for our website and other projects. Applicants must be able to keep deadlines, update content in a timely manner, attend meetings in SLC and work well with others.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • PHP, jQuery, MySql, Javascript Helpful: HTML5, CSS
  • Website design, development, and maintenance
  • Database creation and management
  • Mobile App Development & Design

  • Attend Anime Banzai meetings held on Saturdays once a month. Starting around June, meeting schedule changes to twice a month. Meetings are usually held at the Downtown SLC Library.
  • Update the Anime Banzai website code when needed.
  • Develop code for the backend functions of the website.
  • Attend Department meetings held monthly or when needed to discuss department related material. Meetings will be held in the downtown SLC area.
  • Have a computer (PC or MAC) capable/or already running software required.

Merchandise Coordinator

UAP (Utah Anime Promotions) is seeking a dedicated individual to oversee the role of Merchandise Coordinator. Applicants must be able to keep deadlines and attend meetings in SLC and work well with others. The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining all merchandise, researching and resolving shipment problems or discrepancies and maintaining good communication with the vendor community.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Predict trends and fashions and decide which products are most likely to appeal to customers.
  • Business sense and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • Creative flair
  • Sales skills in a retail and/or exhibition environment.

DUTIES:

  • Attend Anime Banzai meetings held on Saturdays once a month and starting around June twice a month. Meetings are usually held at the Downtown SLC Library.
  • Researching product ideas, performing surveys with target market & communicating with vendors.
  • Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed and that it functions as advertised.
  • Analyze sales information, work out sales targets and plan how to increase profits.
  • Work with our Marketing team to develop product ideas and help with trade shows to sell product.
  • Attend Department meetings held monthly or when needed to discuss department related material. Meetings will be held in the downtown SLC area.
  • Have a reliable internet connection and computer capable of communicating with other staff members.
  • Be able to work some/all days of the convention October 18-21, 2012 on location at the Davis Conference Center. Hotel room may be provided depending on scope of position.
